Why the Fox Valley Needs a Neighborhood Indian Grocery

Fox Valley Bazaar started as a simple question: how many families in Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Kaukauna, and the surrounding cities are quietly driving to Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago every few weeks just to stock the pantry? This page is our short answer to why we think a neighborhood Indian grocery makes sense here — and why we're gathering demand first.

Fox Valley Bazaar isn't open yet. Every signup helps us decide what to stock first.

A growing South Asian community

Indian and South Asian professionals working at Fortune 500 employers across Neenah, Appleton, and Oshkosh have brought families with them. Students at Lawrence, UWO, and St. Norbert add more. The community is real and it's growing.

The nearest full grocery is a two-hour drive

Milwaukee, Madison, and the Chicago suburbs are the closest cities with a full-selection Indian grocery. A monthly trip means half a Saturday, gas, and coolers to keep paneer and produce cold on the drive home.

Restaurants need reliable local sourcing too

Local Indian restaurants and food trucks currently order in bulk from out-of-state distributors. A local wholesale option would shorten lead times and give kitchens more consistent supply — but only if enough demand exists.

Why we're validating first

Opening a full grocery store is a big commitment. Before we sign a lease, we want to see honest local demand — city by city, ZIP by ZIP. That's what the interest list is for. Your signup counts.
